Job Summary
Software Engineer for Second Front Systems to develop and deliver high-quality software on a cloud-based platform for commercial and government customers, including the Department of Defense. You’ll work with a distributed team on both front and back end, participate in Agile development, implement integrations within our cloud ecosystem, conduct code reviews, mentor others, and design/implement architecture based on product requirements. The role emphasizes CI/CD pipeline development and optimization, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and applying DevSecOps practices using technologies such as Golang, Typescript, Kubernetes, and cloud services across AWS/GCP/Azure. A candidate with active or potential Secret-level security clearance and prior national security experience is preferred; a startup environment experience and a passion for software craftsmanship are valued.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements
- Three years of Software Engineering experience
- Experience with full product development lifecycle
- Understanding of REST APIs, Authentication, Event driven architectures
- Strong understanding of microservices
- Ability to work independently and remotely
