Job Summary
Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software components and services for SolarWinds' Platform Engineering team; deliver well-scoped features, enhancements, and bug fixes with high quality and reliability; participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices; write and maintain unit tests and automated tests to support stable releases; troubleshoot defects and production issues and implement durable fixes; collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of software engineering experience through full-time work, internships, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or similar
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles
- Experience with version control, debugging, testing, and modern software development practices
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and distributed application fundamentals
- Ability to break down tasks, estimate work, and deliver quality code with limited supervision
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
