Job Summary
Lead the design and development of backend systems and front-end components using React, Node.js, PHP, and MySQL to deliver high-performance software solutions. Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and client teams to translate user requirements into technical specifications, conduct code reviews, and implement automated testing and CI/CD practices. Define SDLC standards and processes while mentoring junior developers to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable code across web and mobile applications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of development experience
- Bachelor's or masters degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development with a strong focus on React and Node.js
- Strong system design skills with experience architecting scalable, high-performance software systems
- Exceptional knowledge of PHP (Back end), MySQL, relational database design, and ability to pull data from databases/design user tables
- Strong familiarity with HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, version control systems (Git, SVN), and Linux based web hosting systems/command-line interfaces
- Previous experience with MVC (Model View Controller) design patterns, preferably CodeIgnitor (CI) PHP framework
- Ability to get up to speed on CI framework
- Awareness and understanding of product technical constraints, resources, scalability constraints, and security principles
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with start-up experience (particularly in SaaS) and/or AI defense contracting
- Knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- The ability to get up to speed on CI framework is highly desired
- Candidates holding either a bachelors or masters degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related discipline are highly desired for this role
