Job Summary
Lead development of tooling for ESE and customers, including design, architecture, code review, and technical direction. Handle tricky high-level debugging and support tickets escalated to the team, while meeting with customers to guide application setup and architecture consultation. Collaborate with engineering managers to identify high-leverage areas for automation and share customer feedback to influence product direction. Respond to and resolve production incidents related to Traffic Foundation products or customer applications. This role supports the Edge Solutions Engineering team within Walmart Labs, focusing on critical GraphQL and traffic throttling initiatives. The position requires five or more years of professional software development experience, deep understanding of networking and HTTP, and strong remote work skills.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Five or more years of professional software development experience
- Deep understanding of networking, HTTP, and web application architecture
- Understanding of cloud architecture and scalable web applications - CDNs, load balancing, high availability
- Effective remote worker with remote work skills
- Experience in customer success, help desk, technical support, solutions engineering, sales engineering, or other technical customer-facing roles
- Willingness and ability to develop new skills

- Sysadmin, operations or devops experience
- Linux experience
- Azure and GCP experience
- Experience with incident response, including being on call
- Golang experience
- GraphQL experience
