Software Engineer, Product Backend (8+ YOE)

Design and build backend systems for Airtable's Platform Interoperability Team to dramatically increase scalability and performance of applications built on Airtable. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to understand user needs and deliver features for an enterprise product. Work in the deep backend of the Airtable stack, focusing on a product-oriented backend role rather than pure infrastructure. The role requires 8+ years of experience with modern systems development, interest in TypeScript and Rust, and a strong understanding of modern web technologies and large-scale web architecture. The position is based in either the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City with a hybrid working model (office presence ~2-3 times/week for collaboration).
