Job Summary

Software Engineer – Simulation Tools (Level 2) or Principal Software Engineer – Simulation Tools (Level 3) located in Melbourne, FL, designing, developing, and enhancing advanced software tools that power multi-domain, multi-platform simulation environments. Responsibilities include creating reliable, high-performing software for verification and validation of mission and vehicle systems across tests; analyzing customer requirements to generate technical solutions within schedule and cost constraints; presenting ideas to stakeholders; building high-quality software adhering to coding standards; defining, implementing, and documenting system tests; troubleshooting software and hardware issues. Requires active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) and SAP eligibility; travel up to 10%.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience (Software Engineer – Simulation Tools, Level 2).
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Experience in software development with C++ and/or experience with other programming languages such as C#, Python, LabVIEW, or other.
  • For Principal Software Engineer – Simulation Tools (Level 3): Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience; OR Master’s with 3 years; OR Ph.D. with 1 year.
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance, prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Experience in software development with C++ and/or experience with other programming languages such as C#, Python, LabVIEW, or other.
