Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain C++ software applications in support of National Air and Space Intelligence Center mission systems. Implement new features and enhance existing capabilities using C++ and standard libraries while troubleshooting and resolving software defects and performance issues across development, test, and operational environments. Create and maintain technical documentation and test procedures for these critical systems. This role may be filled at level 2 or 3, requiring a Top Secret/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph. Applicants must have at least three years of C++ development experience and strong object-oriented design skills. The position is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with a 10% travel requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline
- Master's degree in a STEM discipline
- Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
- Active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
- Minimum of three years' experience in developing software in C++
- Experience with object-oriented design principles
- Experience with data structures
- Experience with algorithms
- Ability to work in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), following all applicable security and handling procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
- 10% of the Time travel
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with real-time, embedded, or high‐performance C++ applications
- Experience with additional programming or scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with security compliance
- Experience with secure coding practices
- Experience with related security scanning tools
