Job Summary
Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer (AHT) based in Manhattan Beach, CA, working on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems. Responsibilities include designing, developing, documenting, testing and debugging applications software; maintaining CI/CD pipelines; setting up and deploying development, test, and build environments; creating installers; supporting software builds; working within a cross-functional scrum to develop mission planning features; understanding third-party software and hardware peripherals; developing verification and test Materials; defining automated test strategies; and supporting Agile Framework as a Scrum Master when required. Requires on-site work in Manhattan Beach, DoD Secret/SAP clearance considerations, and travel (~10%).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of relevant (Computer Science, etc.) experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree (Computer Science, etc.).
- US Citizenship and current DoD Top Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years), with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Experience with/using Agile Methodology and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) Tools (Bamboo, Jenkins) and Practices
- Proficiency in C# and/or Java and Object-Oriented Software Design paradigms
- Experience with Microsoft Windows technologies
- Test procedure development and maintenance
- Experience supporting/coordinating formal test events
- Experience with one or more of the following scripts: yaml, Python, PowerShell, Batch, Typescript
- Automated test script or test procedure development and maintenance for software testing
- Hands-on system troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- (For Principal) 5 years of relevant experience (or 3 years with Master’s) and similar qualifications
