Software Engineer - Platform

Job Summary
Responsible for designing, building, and operating production-grade platform infrastructure, container orchestration environments, and CI/CD systems that power the organization’s engineering and AI delivery capabilities. The incumbent works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure platform services are reliable, secure, and performant — forming the foundation that scales the organization’s engineering capabilities from discrete deployments into a cohesive, enterprise-grade cloud-native platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2-4 years hands-on experience building and operating production-grade cloud-native platforms
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
- Knowledge of Kubernetes (OKE) and Docker
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
- Experience with container security tooling (Trivy, etc.) and security practices
- Familiarity with Istio and service mesh concepts
- Cloud certifications (OCI, AWS) considered a plus
- Hands-on Linux/Ubuntu experience
- Experience with GitOps practices
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Knowledge of API gateways and load balancing
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Production experience with Kubernetes (OKE) and Docker workloads
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka
- Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management
- Experience with multi-environment deployments (dev/staging/prod) and CI/CD automation
- Ability to translate requirements into scalable platform capabilities
- Ability to contribute to design reviews and runbook documentation
