Job Summary
Software Engineer at PDT Partners is responsible for building and maintaining the proprietary software stack that supports the trading life cycle, including trading systems, risk controls, and post-trade technologies. The role involves partnering with internal end-users to understand requirements, engineering efficient solutions, and contributing to a focused, collaborative, and growth-oriented engineering organization. Candidates should have significant experience with C++, Python, and/or Java, be comfortable working with users to capture requirements, and participate in designing complex software systems. Familiarity with trading systems or financial data, low-latency environments, or data science- or research-adjacent work is a plus. Education required: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science. This is a hybrid position requiring a London office presence at minimum 3 days per week; PDT emphasizes growth potential and a long-term, varied career path within a globally oriented quantitative investment firm.
