Job Summary
Software Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining the ERP platform (Odoo) powering One Acre Fund’s field operations, including registering farmers, orders, logistics optimization, inventory tracking, and mobile payments. Responsibilities include designing and implementing moderately complex software, creating and running tests, ensuring deployment success, QA and code reviews, creating documentation, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating across teams. The role emphasizes working in the field to observe end users (Gemba) and supporting a growing organization with ongoing learning, mentorship, and career development programs.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Odoo ERP development, including Python, PostgreSQL, XML/QWeb, OWL, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of the Odoo framework, ORM, and module architecture
- Experience with one or more database engines (Postgres, MongoDB, Couchbase)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration
- Experience working in Agile
