Job Summary
Software Engineer to join the Oculus product team. Focus on evolving our SaaS portal platform through new feature development, backend integrations, architecture improvements, and operational support in a fast-paced financial technology environment. Design, develop, test, and maintain Oculus SaaS portal functionality using Java-based technologies; develop integrations with backend systems; troubleshoot production issues; evaluate and improve system architecture for scalability and reliability; contribute to event-driven and real-time processing capabilities using Kafka and Flink; collaborate with product, operations, engineering, and support teams; participate in code reviews and documentation. Requirements include Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, MySQL, InfluxDB, REST APIs, JavaScript, Vue.js, and strong communication skills; hybrid work arrangement in Lodz, Poland.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- professional software development experience, with significant experience in Java-based enterprise or SaaS applications
- Strong knowledge of the Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Hibernate and modern Java application development patterns
- Experience working with relational and time-series databases, including MySQL and InfluxDB
- Familiarity with modern SaaS and web technologies, including frameworks and tools such as SmartClient, Vue.js, JavaScript, REST APIs, and web-based application architectures
- Experience integrating systems through APIs, messaging, or backend service frameworks
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve production issues
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and business teams and participate in customer-facing discussions when required
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities
