Job Summary

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain a government software suite for the Missile Defense Agency, focusing on data collection, situational awareness, and analysis. Build and optimize rendering pipelines using OpenGL and C# within an agile team, identifying and solving challenging problems through performant, clean code. Communicate requirements with leadership and the customer, document work for teammates and posterity, and analyze designs to produce robust, testable software. Maintain proficiency in database structures and secure programming techniques while managing version control with Git. Requires a Secret Clearance and 3-7 years of full-lifecycle software engineering experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a highly related technical field
  • 3-7 years of full-lifecycle software engineering experience
  • Experience with OpenGL in a production environment
  • Solid understanding of 3D math (linear algebra, transformations, lighting models)
  • Proficient in C# and in the Microsoft .NET Framework
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including Agile methodologies
  • Ability to analyze a requirement, generate a design, and produce efficient, robust, and testable software
  • Experience with database structures and fundamentals of database query languages
  • Currently have an Information Assurance Technical certification (CompTia A+, Net+ or Sec+) or the ability to obtain one
  • Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Active Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • SQLite experience
  • Understanding of and experience with secure programming techniques
  • Familiarity with game engines or custom rendering engines
  • Strong knowledge of computer graphics, GPU programming and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with WPF based control sets such as DevExpress, Telerik, or Infragistics
  • Experience working on a highly networked application
  • Knowledge of tactical and simulation data links (specifically Link 16, JREAP, DIS, VMF, CMF and XML)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with using Git version control and GitLab as software management tools
