Job Summary

Software Engineer to support Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems in Oklahoma City. Responsible for contributing to software design & development, testing and integration across flight, mission, lab, and tools software, with DevOps practices and Agile workflows (Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and team member). Required to work with safety-critical embedded software across RTOS environments (VxWorks, Integrity, Real Time Embedded Linux), and to use languages such as C, C++, Python, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, and KornShell. Must have a STEM degree with a qualifying level of experience or higher, and hold an active Secret clearance with PAR eligibility when applicable. Travel around 10% is expected; relocation assistance may be available. The role emphasizes collaboration, system-level thinking, software change control, and continuous integration/delivery within safety-critical contexts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years experience OR Master’s degree in STEM with 0 years experience OR PhD in STEM with 0 years experience
  • Active U.S. government Secret level clearance (in-scope)
  • Experience with C, C++, Python, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, and/or KornShell for Safety-Critical applications/Systems
  • Familiarity with Safety-Critical Embedded Real Time Software and various RTOS (VxWorks, Integrity, Real Time Embedded Linux)
  • Experience with Software Life Cycle, Agile frameworks (Product Owner, SCRUM Master, or team member)
  • Experience with Static & Dynamic Code Analysis Tools and Fuzzing Tools (e.g., Coverity, Fortify, SonarQube)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and Change Control/Change Management
  • Knowledge of DOORs and Software Requirement Specifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with software development for flight, mission, lab and tools software
  • Active involvement in software design, implementation, integration, testing
