Job Summary
Software Engineer at Diligent building secure, scalable serverless microservices and AI-powered features using TypeScript and React on AWS for our Risk Manager platform. Mid-level engineer who writes solid code, mentors others, and ships AI-powered capabilities (LLM integrations, agentic workflows) to customers. Responsibilities include owning well-defined stories, code reviews, supporting junior engineers, adhering to Agile processes, and driving iterative enhancements. Core skills include Node.js/TypeScript backend development, RESTful APIs, Docker/container workflows, PostgreSQL, React frontend, AWS services, and familiarity with CI/CD. Experience with AI tooling and responsible AI practices, plus a willingness to design and ship AI-powered features and contribute to architectural discussions.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Familiar with AI concepts (tokens, context length, embeddings, hallucinations)
- Backend proficiency with Node.js/TypeScript, RESTful APIs
- Frontend proficiency with React
- Cloud basics with AWS, IaC familiarity a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
