Job Summary

Plan, shape, and build new product features from conception through maintenance, such as driving adoption via onboarding instrumentation or improving search indexing. Polish existing features to enhance performance and reliability, including updating spell checkers or refining search capabilities. Build internal tools to support team simplicity and productivity, like scripts for importing user feedback. Collaborate cross-functionally to decompose tricky problems and deliver clean solutions that solve real user challenges. Work with React, TypeScript, and Node.js to maintain quality user interfaces while leveraging AI tools as collaborators.

Required Qualifications

  • To be eligible for this role, you need to graduate in December 2026 and be able to start full time by January/February 2027.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field.
  • Previous internship experience.
  • Working towards a proficiency of one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.

Desired Qualifications

  • Impact-driven approach to technology: You see technologies as tools to achieve user impact rather than ends in themselves. You care more about building successful systems that solve real problems than about using specific tech stacks or following trends.
  • You stay current with the latest tools like Codex, Claude Code, and other AI-assisted development environments. You're pragmatic about choosing the right tool for the job, focusing on what delivers the most value to users.
  • Thoughtful problem-solving: For you, problem-solving starts with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You can decompose tricky problems and work towards a clean solution, by yourself or with teammates. You're comfortable asking for help when you get stuck. You think about the implications of what you're building and how it will impact real people's lives.
  • Team player: For you, work isn't a solo endeavor. You enjoy collaborating cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals, and you care about learning, growing, and helping others to do the same.
  • Passion for web applications: You can work with others to build and maintain quality user interfaces for a big audience, using Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern UI framework like React.
  • Familiarity with backend systems: You understand how parts of a system fit together—from the user interface to the data model. Familiarity with database systems like Postgres, MySQL or MongoDB is a plus.
  • You have experience with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.
  • You're a builder who finds joy in building software solutions for yourself or others.
  • You care about the interaction between technology and society, the ways in which they inform each other, and our responsibility as technologists to be conscious of that relationship.
  • You've heard of computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, and others—and understand why we're big fans of their work.
  • You don't need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work.
  • People who thrive here don't treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
