Job Summary
Software Engineer for the Networking Group focused on backend development of cloud-based networking and security management solutions. You will design and implement scalable, high-performance services and microservices, process large-scale data, and contribute to the reliability and security of the infrastructure. Collaborate with Product, Data, Security, and UX teams and explore new technologies to enhance the product stack. Requires building and extending backend systems using Java/Spring Boot (Go a plus), RESTful APIs (GraphQL a plus), NoSQL and relational databases, and containerized microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) in an AWS environment. Strong emphasis on real-time data processing, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN), and OO software engineering principles. A B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent and 4+ years of hands-on experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years of hands-on backend development experience
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot (Go - advantage)
- Experience with RESTful APIs (GraphQL - advantage)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Object-Oriented Programming and software engineering principles
- Experience with NoSQL (Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB) and relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) databases
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and technologies (Docker, K8S)
- Experience with AWS technologies - advantage
- Proven experience in big data applications – advantage
- Experience with FE technologies and JavaScript - advantage (React and TypeScript - big advantage)
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, codex - advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-learning ability, and team collaboration mindset
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
