Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET, focusing on greenfield platforms and AI capabilities. Develop and evolve RESTful APIs for internal and external consumers while integrating AI-powered features into existing systems. Work with AWS to deploy cloud-based solutions and collaborate on code reviews to enforce engineering best practices. Continuously improve systems, processes, and code quality through critical evaluation of AI-generated code and prompt engineering techniques. Join a fast-growing legal tech team scaling from 80 to 250+ employees in a hybrid Sydney role.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with .NET / C# (5+ years)
- Experience building RESTful APIs (ASP.NET Web API) used by multiple consumers
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles and clean architecture
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Experience using AI-assisted dev tools to design, write, test and review software
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability
- Experience applying prompt and context-engineering techniques to improve software-development outcomes
- Flexible, hybrid Sydney based role - 2 days a week in the office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building or integrating MCP servers, clients, or tools
- Experience designing scalable systems and identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
