Job Summary
Software Engineer, Mobile Development to own a React Native codebase end-to-end, delivering features like offline-first reading with encrypted SQLite sync and push-notification workflows, while re-using shared TypeScript logic from a Next.js web app. You’ll ship feature parity with the web, architect for scale with GraphQL/REST clients, and integrate with Node APIs, Postgres, and Mongo via secure OAuth and on-device crypto. You’ll leverage AI tools to accelerate development and testing, implement performance tracing and in-app feedback, and collaborate with cross-platform teams to align design-system tokens and business logic. This is an onsite role in Washington, DC, with a salary range of $149,000–$210,000, and requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of mobile React Native experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional work experience as a software engineer, mobile development
- Professional work experience building React Native applications in production
- Ability to utilize LLM tools (Claude-Code, Cursor, Codex) to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and refactors.
- Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns—MVVM, Clean Architecture, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.
