Job Summary
Develop software solutions that support engineering projects and meet customer requirements for a high-traffic e-commerce platform. Build and maintain front-end and full-stack features for customer-facing commerce experiences, including purchase flows, cart, and checkout. Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver effective technical solutions, document software designs and business requirements, and contribute to technology strategy. Technologies include TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs, Node.js, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Svelte/Alpine.js) with emphasis on high availability, scalability, and automated testing. Responsibilities also include building scalable components, ensuring documentation quality, and driving continuous improvement of systems and processes. Must have 2-4+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Preferred knowledge spans containerization (Docker Compose), observability/monitoring (Splunk, Jaeger), caching/state management (Redis), API mocking (WireMock), and various deployment/testing tools. Minimum age 18+; authorized to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4+ years technical engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
- TypeScript proficiency
- Front-end development for high-availability, high-traffic applications
- Experience with commerce systems and e-commerce platforms
- REST and GraphQL API integration
- Node.js (API layer/server-side)
- End-to-end testing with Playwright
- GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Git version control
