Job Summary
Build robust, high-quality software solutions in the margin and collateral domain by re-engineering technology estates for world-leading performance and resiliency. Develop RESTful APIs using Spring, Java, or Python while adhering to TDD and clean code principles to enable advanced execution and modernized post-trade processes. Collaborate closely with product teams and users to solve complex engineering challenges that drive client outcomes across global markets. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to building a strong engineering culture. Leverage hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud services to accelerate growth within Citi's global franchise.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of hands-on professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering field involving software programming or systems engineering
- Proficiency in programming in mainly Java, React and/or Python
- Strong hands-on experience of building RESTful APIs using popular frameworks like Spring
- Experience of following TDD and clean code principles
- Proficiency with data structures, algorithms and SQL
- Able to independently work in fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of working in investment bank or financial services industry
- Experience of using cloud services such as AWS and distributed systems such as Kafka, Kubernetes, S3, DynamoDB, MongoDB or any other NoSQL database
