Job Summary
Software Engineer in Manufacturing Test responsible for building and maintaining test software to ensure quality across land, sea, and air platforms. Will develop applications for Windows and Linux, integrate cloud data and deployment features with secure authentication, generate Python automation scripts for debugging and prototype development, triage issues, and collaborate with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing UX with engineering constraints. The role emphasizes automation, parallel execution, data analytics, and enhancing development throughput. Requires experience in Python, CI/CD/DevOps automation, device libraries or drivers, multi-disciplinary collaboration with Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing engineers, automated testing, and the eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
- Expertise in software development with Python
- Experience integrating or developing low-level code and device libraries or drivers
- Experience working in CI/CD and designing and delivering DevOps automation for app deployment and testing
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with Electrical / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineers
- Experience in automated unit, integration and system-level testing
- Expertise in version control using git
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
