Job Summary
Lead a squad of software engineers by providing leadership, support, and motivation while creating learning and development plans to expedite their career progression. Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand customer and business needs, contributing to product shaping and technical design and architecture. Manage initiative scope across delivery phases, conduct code reviews, and drive quality through unit, integration, and automated tests. Identify bottlenecks to ensure regular feature delivery within Agile (Scrum) methodologies and evangelize engineering culture through blogs, events, and meet-ups.
Required Qualifications
- Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- 6+ years of engineering/development experience
- Java
- TypeScript
- ReactJS
- PHP
- 3+ years of experience having software engineering direct reports
- Experience working within Agile/DevOps development environments
- Good experience working with modern, cloud-based architectures, RESTful APIs, event-driven services, serverless and CI/CD
- A deep understanding of, along with experience using, fundamental software engineering (including automated testing, observability, and security) principles and practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills with experience developing & instilling a collaborative engineering culture
Desired Qualifications
- Computer Science / Software Engineering degree
- Relevant AWS Solutions Architect certification(s) or similar
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS-specific experience an advantage)
