Job Summary
Software Engineer to join Lightspeed's data conversion team focused on tooling for migrating dealership data into the Evolution platform. Responsibilities include maintaining the Conversion IDE (.NET C# desktop app), integrating product updates into the C# NuGet package used by conversion specialists, designing and building backend services and APIs (.NET 8) as the conversion platform shifts to a service-oriented architecture, handling large datasets and data migrations, owning tooling quality assurance, providing Angular front-end support, participating in code reviews, documenting work, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of professional software development experience
- Strong C# and object-oriented programming skills
- Experience with Angular
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework
- Solid SQL skills, including PostgreSQL and complex queries against large datasets
- Working knowledge of software design patterns (e.g., factory, dependency injection)
- Experience identifying and resolving bugs, and taking initiative to drive them to resolution
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience level
