Job Summary
Software Engineer (Level 3/4) focused on development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of satellite ground software. Full stack development at the OS, platform, and mission-specific software layer; building client and server applications using service/OO architectures with data exchange via message bus. Technologies include Python, C++, Bash, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis. Roles involve troubleshooting software and hardware affecting ground software, supporting Acceptance Tests, test automation, and ground segment software installation across development, test, and operational environments. Onsite at the Dulles, VA campus with up to 10% travel; Top Secret clearance is required. Relocation assistance may be available. The position can be filled at Level 3 or Level 4 with corresponding experience requirements and salary bands. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 5 years of experience; OR a master’s degree and 3 years: OR a PhD (outside of internships, research projects, etc.) OR a PhD with 3+ years experience
- Demonstrated software development experience Python application development, C++, Bash Scripting experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- A current or active Top-Secret clearance is required at the time of application
