Job Summary
Design and collaborate with local and partner teams while participating in agile development and planning. Write highly maintainable code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure following secure coding practices. Mentor other engineers, conduct code reviews, and lead cross-functional troubleshooting to optimize solutions and infrastructure. Instrument code with custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards to validate scenarios against quality and security standards. This six-month contract requires mandatory overlap of 8-11am PST and proficiency in Java, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in practice area
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Experience with RESTful architecture and micro-services
- Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies and tooling
- A deep proficiency of Java
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Macbook is required for the role
- Mandatory overlap 8-11am PST
Desired Qualifications
- ideally across the full stack
- additional languages such as Python is a plus
- Experience in developing near real-time data processing solutions utilizing Kafka is a plus
- Experience with integrations in/out of Financial planning systems (Anaplan, Oracle) a plus
