Job Summary
Build a strong foundation in trading fundamentals while working side-by-side with mentors to design, develop, test, and ship code to production for Optiver's real-time trading environment. Tackle complex, real-world problems to enhance critical thinking and collaborate with senior engineers and traders to optimize system performance and efficiency. During the ten-week internship, you will see how your work performs in live market conditions. Based on performance, you could receive an offer to join full-time in London or Amsterdam. Applicants must be penultimate-year students with the right to work in the UK for the 2027 internship, as visa sponsorship is not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Penultimate-year student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to work full time upon graduation in 2028
- Proficient in industry-standard coding languages such as C++, Python, or Java
- Strong understanding of underlying computer architecture and system operations
- Right to work in the UK for the full duration of the London Summer 2027 Internship
- Ability to take the online assessment within 7 days
