Job Summary
Software Engineer Intern at Boeing Korea: join the Software Engineering team in Seoul to contribute to a cloud-based data platform used for aerospace analytics. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing a data fusion warehouse with ontologies and a semantic layer; building metadata-driven ingestion pipelines and semantic data models; evaluating AI components leveraging the semantic layer (e.g., intelligent search, RAG, copilots, ML integrations); creating APIs to expose data to downstream consumers; collaborating in a globally-distributed team; participating in Agile practices, CI/CD, automated testing, and security-by-design processes. Required: current university enrollment in CS, data science, engineering, or related fields; software development experience; proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#, etc.); basic SQL/SPARQL knowledge; strong English communication; proactive, collaborative mindset. Preferred: coursework in data modeling/semantic web tech; experience with ETL, Spark, Airflow; knowledge graphs; cloud APIs and CI/CD pipelines; interest in AI/ML workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a university as a student majored in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in software development (internships, academic projects, or coursework) including design, coding, and testing
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C#)
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL/SPARQL
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Motivated attitude with willingness to learn and contribute to a team
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or higher
- Course work or project experience in data modeling, ontologies, RDF/OWL, or semantic web technologies
- Experience with graph databases or knowledge graphs (e.g., Neo4j, Fuseki)
- Experience with RESTful API development, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker)/OpenShift(OCP), and CI/CD pipelines
- Interest in engineering, manufacturing, or operations data
