Software Engineer III - Weblogic JEE Developer

Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain WebLogic and Oracle Fusion integrations while resolving defects and optimizing legacy codebases. Execute end-to-end testing of SOAP/REST web services using SOAP UI and troubleshoot message flow bottlenecks to ensure system stability. Manage WebLogic Server 10g/11g environments and implement transformation logic via XQuery and XSLT for both synchronous and asynchronous EAI patterns. Support backend API calls routed through middleware layers and deliver minor enhancements across key functional business areas. Maintain continuous uptime for critical utility integration channels while documenting technical solutions and collaborating with the enterprise integration team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 8+ years of enterprise experience in Java EE / JEE development and middleware integration platforms
- Deep hands-on experience developing, configuring, maintaining, and managing WebLogic Server 10g / 11g
- Proven experience building and maintaining integrations using Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle Fusion middleware suites
- Advanced knowledge of EAI patterns (Synchronous/Asynchronous) and extensive hands-on experience writing transformation logic in XQuery and XSLT
- Demonstrated ability to build, debug, and test web services/APIs using SOAP UI
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
- Must be able to use a computer
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting enterprise integration teams in electric, gas, or critical infrastructure utilities
- Familiarity with migrating or bridging legacy JEE/WebLogic services to modern cloud-native or microservice architectures
