Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer III in Technology Control Operations at JPMorganChase responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable software across multiple business functions. Delivers production-grade code, creates architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, analyzes large diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement, identifies hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture, and contributes to engineering communities of practice. Collaborates in an agile environment, supports risk management, modernization efforts (data center migrations, cloud considerations), and governance through Jira-based sprint planning, backlogs, and dashboards. Requires hands-on experience in system design and development, proficiency in one or more programming languages, SDLC knowledge, and familiarity with modern front-end and cloud technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
