Job Summary
Software Engineer III (SRE) at JPMorgan Chase in Corporate and Investment Bank Payments Technology – Account Services. Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust software solutions with a focus on reliability, availability, and performance of mission-critical systems. Responsibilities include building automation for deployment, monitoring, and operations; proactive incident troubleshooting; infrastructure as code for applications and platforms; aligning with service level indicators/objectives to prevent customer impact; collaborating with development teams to improve system reliability and scalability; documenting processes and sharing knowledge; fostering a diverse, inclusive team culture. Required Qualifications
- Experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or related fields
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Solid understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java/Spring Boot, .NET)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and work independently or in teams
- Proactive in identifying and overcoming obstacles, with a passion for learning and innovation
