Job Summary
Develop and deliver complex risk technology solutions on the Quartz platform, focusing on scalable distributed systems in Python and C++ for P&L generation, scenario analysis, and regulatory reporting. Design, modify, and maintain architecture components while ensuring compliance and maintainability, and lead delivery of initiatives across the full software development lifecycle. Codes solutions and unit tests to meet acceptance criteria, mentors engineers on CI-CD practices, and automates manual release activities and test suites. Partner with traders, risk managers, and quantitative teams to translate business requirements into technology solutions, driving engineering excellence through automation and observability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python (or similar modern programming languages)
- Experience building distributed, parallel, grid, cloud, or high-performance computing solutions
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, and performance optimization
- Experience supporting business-critical production platforms
- Knowledge of software development, testing, deployment, and support within Agile delivery environments
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Professional Experience
Desired Qualifications
- Market Risk, P&L, Pricing, or Regulatory Risk platforms
- FICC and/or Equities products
- Large-scale analytical, computational, or data processing platforms
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
