Job Summary
Develop secure high-quality production code and perform code reviews; collaborate with leads to plan and deliver software solutions in an agile environment. Follow established patterns and design new ones to ensure stability and scalability. Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues to improve operational stability. Engage with software engineering communities to adopt new technologies. Roles require hands-on coding with JavaScript (front-end frameworks like React or Angular), ASP.NET MVC/Web API/REST, C# with .NET Core/.NET, SQL/ T-SQL, and modern toolchains (Git, Visual Studio, VS Code). Emphasizes CI/CD, security, and application resiliency in a large corporate setting. Prefer a Bachelor's degree in CS or related field and knowledge of financial services IT systems; cloud-native development with AWS; familiarity with AI-powered coding tools.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Hands-on experience coding with the JavaScript language and utilizing front-end UI frameworks, such as React or Angular
- Proficiency building ASP.NET MVC, Web API, or REST style applications
- Hands-on experience coding in the C-sharp (C#) language utilizing either the .NET Core or .NET frameworks
- Proficiency in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Experience with and understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Experience in SQL scripting, or T-SQL in SQL Server 2019 or higher
- Proficiency with development toolsets (e.g. Git, Visual Studio 2019/2022, VS Code)
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar
