Job Summary
Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable software solutions across multiple domains. Role involves writing production-grade Python code, leveraging Spark and SQL for data processing, building UI components with React/Flask/Django, developing and maintaining cloud-based applications on AWS (EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3), and contributing to architecture, design artifacts, and data-driven improvements. Requires formal software engineering training or certification and 3+ years of experience, expertise in Python and related libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Dask), experience with AWS services, Spark, SQL, and UI development, understanding of SDLC and CI/CD, and familiarity with agile methodologies and security practices.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages including Python
- Experience with Python libraries and tools including Pandas, NumPy and Dask
- Experience with developing applications for AWS using the following AWS services: EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS and S3.
- Experience with Spark and SQL
- Experience with UI development using React JS, Flask, Django
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
