Job Summary
Software Engineer III to join Pearson's Web Marketing Team. Responsible for front-end and back-end development, web platform initiatives for public-facing school websites, and contributing to the virtual online learning platform. Responsibilities include translating UI/UX designs into code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; improving page speed and performance; collaborating with UX/tech partners; tracking issues and acceptance criteria; QA collaboration; providing product demonstrations; light scrum-master duties; and working within the Microsoft Azure stack with experience in JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React), Git/ADO, and Agile processes. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of high-tech web application development, API development experience, and strong documentation and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Experience building APIs
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Familiar with asynchronous development
- Proficient with Jira and Confluence
- Angular or similar framework (JavaScript)
- HTML/CSS
- Strong UI/UX collaboration
- Experience on Agile teams
- Experience in a web content management system (AEM a plus)
