Job Summary
Software Engineer III in JPMorganChase Consumer and Community Banking leads test strategy and automation efforts across multiple projects, leveraging AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and security. Responsibilities include designing test strategies and plans, coordinating timelines and deliverables with QA Managers and project teams, leading review sessions on requirements and design, driving continuous QA process improvements, conducting root cause analysis of test escapes, and ensuring comprehensive functional, integration and regression testing across mobile native applications (iOS/Android) using Appium and related automation tools. Requires 3+ years of experience, formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, and strong mobile test automation capabilities, with a solid understanding of SDLC, secure coding standards, and collaboration across global teams.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 3+ years of applied experience
- Mobile Native Application and Mobile Test Automation Experience
- Deep knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proven experience in functional, integration and regression testing
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools (coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation)
- Ability to operate in a multi-task environment across a global team
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security expectations
