Job Summary

Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within Consumer and Community Banking serves as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You execute software solutions, design and develop production-ready code, produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, analyze large data sets to improve software applications, proactively identify hidden problems to drive architectural improvements, contribute to communities of practice for emerging technologies, and foster an inclusive team culture. You combine formal software engineering training with 5+ years of applied experience, are proficient in one or more programming languages, understand the SDLC, and have hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability, with an emphasis on CI/CD, security, and cloud-related disciplines.

Required Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with mobile application testing (unit test, automation test, testing/debugging using emulator and device)
  • Mobile application profiling for memory analysis, thread analysis and heap analysis
  • Experience working with large codebases
  • Ability to work with one or more modern programming languages
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot, root cause analysis, and communicate resolutions
