Job Summary

Software Engineer III at MedImpact leads the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex software for internal and client-facing needs. The role requires autonomous execution on new software projects, collaboration with Business Systems Analysts to translate requirements into working software, code reviews, and mentoring less experienced IT staff. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software, resolving technical/product issues, participating in project meetings, integrating front-end with back-end services, adopting new technologies, and contributing to software engineering processes. Required skills include hands-on experience with Angular and/or REACT, UI/UX patterns, front-end technologies (Bootstrap, CSS3, HTML5, JQuery, jQWidgets, responsive design), SQL with relational databases, automated testing across unit/integration/end-to-end levels, familiarity with AI coding tools, accessibility standards (ADA/508/WCAG2.0), version control (Git), build and CI/CD tools (Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, CheckMarx), IDEs (Eclipse/NetBeans/IntelliJ), UNIX, and Agile/Scrum environments; strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA and 6+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2 years of SME in respective areas
  • Experience with Angular and/or REACT
  • Experience with UI patterns and Bootstrap, CSS3, HTML5, JQuery, jQWidgets, JResponsive Web Design (RWD)
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
  • Experience developing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests
  • Experience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor)
  • Knowledge of accessibility requirements and experience developing interfaces that comply to ADA/508/WCAG2.0
  • Experience using GIT— Source Code Management tool
  • Experience with Maven— Build Automation tool
  • Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, CheckMarx
  • Experience with Eclipse, Netbeans or IntelliJ IDE
  • Working experience with UNIX environments and shell scripting
  • Ability to work collaboratively on project teams and/or matrix-managed teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with emphasis on translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
