Job Summary
Software Engineer III – Mainframe Developer responsible for designing, developing, debugging, and enhancing mainframe-based solutions. duties include executing creative software solutions, conducting code reviews, facilitating production stability, leading evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams, driving adoption of new technologies, and contributing to a diverse, inclusive team culture. Requires hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, cloud technologies, and toolchains (CHANGEMAN, FILEAID, ZEKE, CA VIEW); proficient in Git, CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven/Gradle), and Agile processes; strong problem-solving and communication skills; willingness to lead architectural discussions and participate in communities of practice; experience with Java/Kafka and Splunk/Dynatrace is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Mandatory hands-on experience on COBOL, JCL, VSAM and CICS
- Strong experience in tools like CHANGEMAN, FILEAID, ZEKE and CA VIEW
- Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices code refactoring
- A delivery focused approach to work and the ability to work without direction
- Mandatory hands-on Cloud Technology
- Experience with various source control tools like GIT
- Experience in Agile development lifecycle methodology
