Job Summary
Design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products by executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting across multiple technical areas. Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms running synchronously with appropriate systems while producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications. Gathers, analyzes, and develops visualizations from large data sets to drive continuous improvement, proactively identifying hidden patterns to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture. Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and delivery speed, validating outputs through peer review and automated testing. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and uphold a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. Requires 3+ years of applied experience in Java or Python, proficiency with AWS services like EKS and MSK, and hands-on experience with Terraform and Spinnaker Pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages (Java/Python)
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Github co-pilot
- Proficient in AWS services like EKS, MSK, etc.
- Proficient in Terraform
- Proficient in Spinnaker Pipeline
