Job Summary
Execute software solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex engineering challenges. Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms operating synchronously with critical financial systems. Gather, analyze, and develop visualizations from large data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring emerging technologies. Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and delivery speed, validating outputs through peer review and automated testing. Work within a global Agile engineering team in Bournemouth, supporting real-time dashboards, cash forecasting, and funding functions for senior executives. Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Proficient applied experience in software engineering concepts
- Hands-on practical experience in system design
- Hands-on practical experience in application development
- Hands-on practical experience in testing
- Hands-on practical experience in operational stability
- Proficiency in Java 8 and above
- Strong working knowledge of the Java ecosystem
- Solid understanding of the Spring framework
- Solid understanding of the Spring ecosystem
- Hands-on practical experience with relational database management systems
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large-scale environment
- Experience using modern programming languages
- Experience using database querying languages
- Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous integration
- Demonstrated understanding of delivery
- Demonstrated understanding of application resiliency
- Demonstrated understanding of security practices
