Job Summary
Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within Asset and Wealth Management responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions. Roles include designing and unit testing Java modules, building responsive UIs with React, developing microservices for internal/public cloud platforms (AWS), collaborating across regions/time zones with product managers and designers, participating in Scrum ceremonies, handling time-sensitive tasks, writing tests and automation, and applying knowledge across SDLC with emphasis on Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and cloud technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
- Expertise in CSS and HTML, proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Angular/React
- Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Emerging knowledge of cloud technologies
