Job Summary
Software Engineer III in JPMorgan Chase's Consumer and Community Banking API Marketplace. Build secure, high-quality production Java backend services, focusing on RESTful microservices, cloud-native deployments (AWS/GCP/private cloud), and scalable architectures. Provide technical guidance, contribute to firmwide SDLC frameworks, review code, mentor junior developers, and drive design decisions. Requires 3+ years of experience, Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST, and Cloud experience; familiarity with CI/CD and TDD. Located in Wilmington, DE; full-time role in an agile environment within the API Marketplace team.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 3+ years of applied experience
- Advanced skills in Java 8+ for distributed application development
- REST, microservices, and Spring Boot
- Experience developing cloud-native applications (AWS, GCP, private cloud)
- Familiarity with SDLC practices such as TDD, CI, CD, and CD
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven
- Experience configuring Continuous Integration pipelines in Jenkins
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools
