Job Summary
Execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within the firm's state-of-the-art technology products. Write secure, high-quality code using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs with limited guidance while designing for upstream and downstream system implications. Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools to automate processes and troubleshoot basic technical problems by analyzing large data sets to drive decision-making. Gain experience across the full SDLC, including testing automation, operational stability, and exposure to cloud platforms like AWS and event streaming technologies such as Kafka. Join an agile team within Consumer & Community Banking to enhance secure, scalable systems while contributing to a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in application development, testing and operational stability using Java
- Hands-on practical experience in application development, testing and operational stability using Spring Boot
- Hands-on practical experience in application development, testing and operational stability using RESTful API
- Hands-on practical experience in application development, testing and operational stability using JavaScript technologies
- Hands on experience with testing automation tools
- Hands-on practical experience in system design
- Hands-on practical experience in application development
- Hands-on practical experience in testing
- Hands-on practical experience in operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with one or more modern programming languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code with database querying languages
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD
- Exposure to Application Resiliency
- Exposure to Security
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Public Cloud technologies and platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Experience working with event streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka)
- Experience working with Databases (noSQL / Relational)
- Experience working with API / cloud-native microservice development
- Hands on Experience in Software Development tools and technologies (e.g. Jira, Confluence, IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Artifactory, AI powered code-assistants, etc.)
