Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer with backend and platform focus to design, build, and operate scalable backend systems and data platforms supporting Nike’s supply chain platforms. Lead the development of RESTful services using Python (Flask/FastAPI), implement data pipelines, and build cloud-native solutions in AWS. Collaborate across product, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive scalable, production-grade architectures, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and reliability. Emphasizes distributed systems, microservices design, security, and DevOps practices to enable data-driven decision-making and high availability across deployment optimization, controlled allocation, and dynamic marketplace allocation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong backend development experience in Python
- Hands-on expertise with Flask and/or FastAPI
- Experience designing REST APIs and production-grade services
- Solid experience working in AWS environments (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Understanding of security and access management
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
- Working knowledge of Amazon SageMaker
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience deploying, operating, and maintaining data workflows
- Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Ability to design scalable microservices and distributed systems
- Focus on high availability and fault-tolerant architectures
