Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer III focused on backend with hands-on frontend development, designing and building secure, scalable services on Nike cloud. You will partner with leads and architects to deliver robust web services for Nike partner experiences, work with dispersed teams, and translate requirements into MVP features and timelines. Responsibilities include full-stack development, ensuring clean code and architecture, building scalable distributed solutions, reviewing complex systems, and mentoring junior engineers. Required skills include Java, Python, or Node.js; frontend with React or Vue; cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure); microservices and RESTful APIs; relational/non-relational databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch); CI/CD and DevSecOps tooling; experience with Scrum/Agile and strong collaboration. A Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field (or 2 years' equivalent experience) is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js
- Frontend development experience with ReactJS or Vue
- Experience in distributed/cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with microservices, RESTful services, and domain-driven design
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch)
- Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests
- Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or 2 years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree)
