Job Summary
Architect and build the robust backend infrastructure powering Noa, Indeed's next-generation AI recruiter, with end-to-end ownership of the development lifecycle from LLM pipelines to operations. Partner with product managers to automate end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate matching, while identifying performance improvements for large-scale distributed systems. Collaborate with engineers and data partners to prototype new capabilities and deploy AI solutions rapidly within a lean, agile team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- PhD without experience
- Experience building or contributing to large-scale or distributed systems
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals
- A demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for delivered work
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enjoyment of solving complex technical problems
- 5+ years developing production cloud services and ML-integrated applications
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese
- No active formal PIP or written warning
- Been in their current role for at least 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Full-lifecycle ownership and experience running LLM applications at scale in production
