Job Summary
Software Engineer III at Milliman IntelliScript focused on designing and delivering scalable backend services and data pipelines for insurtech data solutions. You will develop event-driven and batch data processing systems on AWS, modernize legacy systems into microservices, implement data quality and observability, mentor engineers, and collaborate in SAFe Agile teams to deliver scalable, compliant data solutions for insurance clients.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with significant focus on data pipeline development and backend systems
- Strong proficiency in C# (.NET) and SQL, with experience working with large-scale data systems
- Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines and data processing systems
- Experience with AWS data and compute services
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data lifecycle management
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, GitHub workflows, and Terraform
- Working knowledge of Agile/SAFe delivery models
- Experience with full software development lifecycle
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across both application and data layers
- Ability to design resilient, scalable, and observable data systems
- Proven ability to own pipeline reliability, performance, and data quality outcomes
- Excellent collaborative skills, work well independently and as a team member
