Job Summary
Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per acceptance and compliance criteria while designing, developing, and modifying architecture components to maintain integrity. Mentors engineers on CI/CD practices and automates the tool stack, executing story refinement and spikes to mitigate risk. Designs and develops core components of the Algorithmic Trading Platform, Smart Order Router, and Matching Engine ecosystem, building highly performant, resilient, and scalable solutions. Automates manual release activities and maintains automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance. Partners with trading and technology teams to transform complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, driving operational excellence across the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Extensive experience building high-performance applications in Java on Linux
- Strong hands-on experience developing electronic trading or other latency-sensitive financial systems
- Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and performance optimization
- Automation-first mindset with strong knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and shift-left quality practices
- Experience working within Agile development environments and modern engineering workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Professional Experience
- 1st shift (United States of America)
- 40 hours per week
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
- Deep understanding of Equities market structure, electronic trading, smart order routing, and algorithmic execution
- Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery and engineering productivity
- Experience designing and deploying applications in cloud-native and containerized environments
- Proficiency in C++ and performance-sensitive system development
- Familiarity with low-latency networking, exchange protocols, market data systems, and trading infrastructure
