Job Summary
Senior cloud-focused software engineer on JPMorgan Chase’s Cloud Foundational Services team, responsible for designing and delivering trusted Google Cloud Platform-based infrastructure and applications. You will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP, apply security, compliance, and governance practices (identity management, encryption, key management, organizational policies, deny policies), participate in IAM governance and audits, leverage agile practices to deliver features, and drive secure-from-start solutions with security in depth. Skills include GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine), IAM technologies, authentication/authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC), serverless/event-driven architectures (Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub), Terraform, Python or GoLang, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Preferred experience includes AWS/Azure, SQL, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and relevant GCP Associate/Professional certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 3+ years applied experience
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine
- Experience with Google Identity Access Management technologies, including Google Identity, OIDC Federation, Workload Identity Federation, role management
- Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization protocols, both modern (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures using GCP services like Cloud Run and Cloud Pub/Sub
- Proficiency in Terraform and scripting with Python or GoLang
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams
